Resistance

I feel I'll drown in my emotions,
The pressure is growing,
So hard that my veins will burst,
They're causing a commotion,
It's killing me slowly, but I'm knowing,
That you're going to kill me first.

I'm fighting you so hard,
That my nails are broken,
And my fists are bleeding,
I just keep getting scarred,
Remembering the words you've spoken,
And the way you're pleading.

My heart is shattered into pieces,
Every time I see your face,
Knowing that a picture is the best I'll get,
Until what we've made ceases,
I'll die every day thinking of your embrace,
That I need to feel so I won't forget.
