Respect My Voice

Respect my voice for it is stronger and power.

I am bold and brave becasue I wouldn't have it any other way. 

When I speak, people stop and listen- For I am worthy of being heard.

I am woman of color with a gospel tone- given to me by The Almighty himself.

Regardless of size and stature, I will be heard.

Respect my voice for it is beautiful.

Take what I say never for granted.

I could save your life with my words of wisdom.

My voice never faulters or stirs.

You will never hear me shake and stutter for my words are flawless.

A river of courage and dignity flows forth from my lips.

This river is graceful and clear.

No dirt or spoils lounge about here.

Regardless of my race and gender, I will be heard.
