To Rest For A Day
To Rest For A Day
To rest today, tomorrow an eve
Today an hour, tomorrow shall sour
I think, this day, that a snow shall fall
Tomorrow, wherefore shall I be
Shall I ride in the North ‘till the plains do roam
Another ride for a season, a plain or rhyme or reason
Today I shall find a sign in the clear blue sky
For a rain, a time beside the hay
I run freely as I see you running in the bay
Wherever they shall roam let them be merry and blessed
Worthy are they that make peace
Blessed are those that love and, today, those that gather
I love each day, one another, side by side, alone I ride
Another day, I’m lost another day I find a way to rest ‘till I stay
It’s a little bit colder and I’m slowly fading away
I just want to say, “Hi” and hear you say, “I love you anyway”
Peace upon you is all I say
