Its been a year since you left us We miss you so much We long for a hug, a kiss, a reminder of your loving touch Your unconditional friendahip and loyalty to me, almost like a crutch I could lean on your words and your actions proved that no request i made was ever too much You always had a way to make me understand That i should be home with my family , living without them in my life wasnt part of the creators plan. You were like my little brother, i let you come stay when there was stormy days, so you could take cover. There was a time i was a poor example and fed your addiction It scared me when other drugs became part of your street prescription. I decided to stop engaging in those behaviors because seeing you waste away broke my heart to pieces Family doesnt do that to eachother, they lift us up they teach us, they find when no one can reach us.
