Rest In peace friend

Poetry hasn’t taught me how to grief cause if it did I would’ve empathized with you a long time ago. I see clouds and think of your hair blowing gently, stars on a dark night and think of how bright your eyes were, rainstorms remind me of our random adventures and the sun reminding me of your bright smile. Poetry hasn’t taught me how to grief. Poetry has taught me that with each word I declare the strength to move on, poetry has taught me that grieving isn’t a necessity & death isn’t a math problem that you just can’t solve. Poetry HAS taught me how to cope.
