Resting Hearth

Hear,
a distant roar of a burning fire, the center of the earth laying molten in your bed.
Rest your head,
against his chest
and listen to the crackling furness beneath the flesh.
Rising warmth, ebb and flow of his breath.
And rest. . .
            rest. . . . . .
                        Remember
                         Every
                          Single
                           Touch.
