"Restless"

9 o’clock:

I get out of bed,

You were there,

But only in my head.

I take a shower,

Brush my teeth,

And give you flowers

At 9:15.

To the world, I’m some freak

Cast off because I’m ADHD.

So, I’m different. Shoot me!

I don’t need coffee to get up and running.

10 o’clock:

I lie back down,

Too broken hearted to get around.

I close my eyes and all I see is you;

I open them up and you’re gone too!

12 o’clock:

At this point I can only dream,

Because sleep’s a thing

Only you can bring.

I roll over, toss, turn, and kick

Knowing that I have to get up at six.

My window’s closing with every tick of the clock

Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock

You got away…

This is what happens when you just can’t talk.
