Restless Peace
Silently, I lay in darkness, though the white ceiling above my head has never looked brighter. I think about nothing, everything, anything... And three familiar ghosts appear. Their names: What Is, What Isn't, and What Could Be. Trapped by the lingering thoughts, smothered by blankets in this sauna, bothered by nothing, everything, anything... Now as I fidget here I wonder- Is sleep a reward for thoughtlessness? So I will remain awake.
