Restoration

Step by step, we walk the path we once traveled, Watching, together, as our future slowly unravels. Brick by brick, we'll continue to build on what was, Trying hard to read what eachother's heart does. Slowly but surely finding something so divine, A connection so rare, innocent, genuine. Blow away the dust that has collected so fast, Let it fall behind us, covering our pasts. This life has pulled us together and far apart, Separate in distance, but deep within my heart. Back again, like a shining full moon in the sky, Let us indulge in its beauty, as time slips by. Captivated, mesmerized by your loveliness, Rediscovering you, the one who showed me bliss. Take a breath, don't let the memories fade away, Hold onto me as we move forward, day by day. I wish I could take your pain and cast it aside, So I could see that beautiful smile you hide. We'll come together, even stronger than before, We'll mend the pieces, a soul meant to be adored. We cannot rush the steady time that makes us wait, But it seems you and I tempt the sweet hands of fate. Rekindling a flame can be so hard to do, But everything was easy, when it was with you.
