Restoration
I feel like my wings have been clipped
My body stripped down
My spirit shattered on the ground.
How will my voice be heard
Through this distracted world?
Will I always feel undone?
I cry out to you, please let me stay true
To my heart,
To my calm.
Please let me speak words of peace.
And let my actions speak louder than that.
I've stumbled on the path that is wrong
And now I must make it right.
I might give love, not fight.
My greatest mistake has brought my life alive
my dearest treasures I hide
to protect
But it was all a joke,
My essence is caught in the twirling tangles inside.
I cry out to you, please let me stay true
To my heart,
To my calm.
Please let me speak words of peace.
And let my actions speak louder than that.
I do remember you, my pure soul I once knew
Who only wanted to love.
I shall not cut off or cower away
I will reach in and recognize the gifts I have to say.
