Restrictions

Restricitons have kidnapped my love.

The chill I feel as you enter the room,

the chain I feel restricting my heart,

the tears I cry that you simply can't see,

have started to restrict me from breathing.

Chances have been given, souls have been taken,

and restrictions have been put in place.

Your fear of losing me has turned into threats against me,

and your "I love you's" have turned into lies.

I am no longer a human, I am a piece of property.

Your property.

I didn't sign up for a restricted life.

Bipolar days and endless fighting

send cause for my love to go into hiding.

You not only broke my heart, you broke me

and now I am left to fall apart.

Learning how to love, that I'm capable of

loving you, is now not possible

for here I am, loving from above.

your restrictions took my life away,

now "I love you" is something I will never say.
