Retribution

How often is it we are blamed for the fault of others?

Is this fair we ask...

We despair further and further

longing for another to take the task.

Life is very unfair.

We all knew this truth,

but how could we predict

that it would tear its way through

Our hearts as we despair longer

and longer...

I only wish to have

at least one peaceful slumber

Why can't we at least have that?

What did we do to deserve such tribulations?

We did as we were told

and followed through with the expectations.

So why is it that we suffer at the whims

of those that are most ungrateful

a peace of minds is what we want,

is that too much to ask for?

In due time, those that torment us will fall

and shall rise from the ashes

Of course after the war of emotions explode

to many unwanted clashes.

In the end however,

one will remain strong to his convictions.

Retribution onto all those that hurt us.

May we stay strong to finishing our life's mission
