Retrospect of My Life

Since that rainy Monday night*, times have changed

From warm days to the callous wintry days.

Through years when spring blooms grew and winters panged

I learned to discern Thy redeeming ways.

I’ve prayed to let me sail in a wee yacht.

The dreamer in me dreamt of far off lands

Where I could voyage in my little boat

To the brink of the blue seas laced with sands.

I thank Thee Lord for granting my prayers.

Thou’ve let me traverse through many a land.

Though few, Thou’ve helped me to wipe out tears.

I’m not vexed on what is beyond the bend.

In earthly realms and in the land beyond

Thankfully, I’m Thine own, my Lord and God.
