A Retrospective: Selfies

Location

Can I ask a million questions, half expecting a million answers?

Should I try to learn all I don't know but should've learned when I was young

Basic human interactions, I must've not been listening

When the teacher gave that lecture I never learned to bite my tongue

And surely every passing person is open for interpretation

And maybe every pedestrian is both the best and the worst

I've been betrayed and I've burned down bridges and I've been betrayed and I've betrayed friends

But starting over is so hard when you've never tried starting again

Sing a ballad for the saddened, act like bad times never happened

Try to learn all you don't know because you don't know how long you've got

It's just basic human nature, I suppose that's how it should be

I'm tired of being lonely but always acting like I'm not
