Return on Investment

My mom and dad did their best,

To raise me the way they should.

Not with all the spoils and gadgets,

But told me if I worked hard I could.

My grandmother reminds me all the time,

Of that one special day at her house.

"What do you want to be? An athlete I incline?"

"An engineer" I said without a doubt!

ITS PERFECT! Machines, cars, big toys!

The things that everyone loves

Men, women, girls, and boys.

We feel it in our blood.

This is the perfect job for me!

I can do all that I've wanted to do!

And its not even about just the money

But I have to help my family too!

The only question I want to be ask,

My sweet hard working mother.

Is, "so what is it? The CTS or the S class?"

Because she has helped me like no other!

Whether it was friends of the family that told me I made them proud,

Or the lady in church who when I was good gave me a breath mint

I want to make them all proud!

And be a return on investment!
