Revenge
Wounded friend...I see your pain.
But what justice will you gain?
Seeking vengeance for your scorn
This pleasure is hell-born.
You can't undo what caused your grief
No matter what your belief.
Though may taste sweet upon your tongue
The brief pleasure is soon undone.
You're still left with the wounds of aching sorrow
But just remember there's a new tomorrow.
Don't hang on because of your pride
The strong forgive and put anger aside.
Revenge is bad for the soul this I'm sure
It will not help your heavy heart endure.
So my friend, calm your fretfull nerves
Evil will get what it deserves.
