Flowers flowering

Blossoming and blooming

 Like girls in spring

  Dreaming of sunshine

   Before morning breaks

Before the dawn rises and warms

       Flower petals, warms hearts

         Icy wretches biting the past

           Longing to be warm again

            Turning bulbs to the light

What of when the heart has been broken

           Before it has been loved?

What of when the broken heart is loved

       After it has been broken

     So crippled so crippled

    So cold so crippled

Unwilling to feel what it has not felt

To teach the babe to feel the warmth of fire

Without being burned
