Reversal

I reminisce about you

and lately everything surrounds pieces of you

Your eyes evoke thoughts of words you never spoke to me

fragments of sentances that were broken manifestations of paragaraphs, never written in the air between you and me

Your walk illuminates a smile on a moonless night

the pride you carry in each foot, matched with the air of life that posseses you

damn how I wish that I could still see it so clearly

that no yellowed edges exist in the book in my mind reserved for you

wishing ways of  how to say the words that would fall on deaf ears

on a mind that is far removed from my hands

your no longer a tangible piece of comfort

but an unattainable quencher of my moods

if ever I fail

I'll call on you, awaiting no response

Just confident in the fact that you'll hear me

my words searching the air for you

and eventually raining their syllables onto your ears for simple contemplation

solutions never expected

I wish it was all twisted words and that you could say back to me what just parted my lips

that every movement, sound, breath I take was keen to you

I long for the day you become who you were again
