To a person of my past,

I wanted you,

so I cried.

I wanted you,

so I begged.

I wanted you,

so I lost sleep.

I wanted you,

so I lost my appetite.

Finally,

you came around.

But, I wasn’t happy.

I only thought

that I wanted you.

I didn’t truly

want you.

So, I cried,

because I didn’t want you.

So, I begged,

because I didn’t want you.

So, I lost sleep,

because I didn’t want you.

So, I lost my appetite,

because I didn’t want you

Finally,

you left.

But,

I was happy.

Thank you,

Lauren E.
