Revival
Raining ashes of antiquity
Saturating roots of iniquity
Rays of blinding passion
The ashes blow
Heartbeat slowed
Yet the thunder still rolls
Low lands high heat
The sycamore tree
Ever so wise
Awakened from within
Though against the grain
Cut down with grace
Exuding sweet sap
Oh I crave to taste
Wet lips, quickened tongue
Green grass breath filled lungs
Fingertips pressed to the earth
Mouth awaiting the trickling truth
Invigorating drops quench my thirst
Paradigm shift
Zeal for life, rebirth
Paint me in desire
Red the burning sky
War on flesh and spirit
The wind my battle cry
Volatile eruptions
Tree branches crepitate
Vibrations deep and low
Woes ceasing to haunt me so
My spirit weightless and free
Here lies the dead
I arise a new me
