Rhythm of my mind

Poetry.

Rhythm woven from strings of metaphor

displaying everyday occurences

as vibrantly as a marquee.

Words painting pastels with splashes of

deep heavy reds and

bright sunshiny yellows.

These words are just broken fragments until

pieced into stories

of pain, despair, joy, triumph.

I struggle to find some way I can change the world

something which will inspire.

And yet I find my inspiration in the poem itself.

For it is through the pen strokes, scratch lines and

crumpled scraps of paper that the

true rhythm of my mind is revealed.
