Ricochet

Mirror mirror on the wall

Who’s the fairest of them all?

Is it the baffled kings

who claim to rule the nation?

Or the wide-eyes civilians

who’d gladly take their place?

Puppets’ strings are plucked and pulled

But what shall befall when they break?

Arid land grows arid nations

Harvests

Hunger, Avarice

Greed, Despair

Bullets flying everywhere

Once for the children who once had a dream

Twice for the innocent beggar who sowed his seed

Thrice for the lady covered in unwanted deeds

That society deems come clean.
