Riddle Me This

I have voices that babble all day long, some even incorporated in song. I am like a serene paradise, a favorite memory, blithe and sweet. My voices are living but not quite. I'm a rainbow of color but that can be your opinion. I can calm tears without a hug. I rustle and screech like a child at the beach. My life is imagination or someone's creation. I only appear when you are near. My voice hisses, roars or shrieks: depends on who speaks. If I were a location, you would not want to vacation. Panther, tigers, and bears. Oh My! This would be a cry. When I go black I might end with a clack. I am bright, colorful, and bold. To some I'm young but to most I'm old. I will live forever 'cause stories never die. What am I?
