The Ride I Cannot Join

It's watching me. After 360 it eyes me again. Each revolution comes with a gazing contest-me against it, and it against me. I cannot get on the merry-go-round. Instead, I watch. It moves forward, and at the same time it moves backward. If one looks out, they have missed their chance to catch a glimpse, and they must wait another 360. Just like my future. Miss chances and regrets for not going aboard when I could. This is why I write. To past the time until the ride will one day let me on and take me wherever it's going. With me on, it will not go backwards nor counter clock-wise. It will unwind and go forward, and I will never catch a glimpse of what has passed, for I have in full sight my future.
