Ride It Out

So I took a deep breath and asked her name

And she said hi, my name is kate

And I said hello But I knew she wouldn’t let me go

Cuz some people connect immediately

and other split immaculately but I know

I knew I had to ride this one out

Whether it is a bumpy road full of thorns

Or just a smooth nascar track full of bullhorns

I knew I had ride it out

So it is now five years later from when we met in that bar

We’ve broken up a couple times this far,

And I am confused if she still loves me...

...But I’m going to ride it out

I am a college graduate. just in graduate school! Whenever i stress out i express myself through my poetry. My family really doesn't know about the poems that i write, and i would like to keep it this way. I can stay one dimensional to my friends and colleagues, and have this double life as a hopeless romantic poet, and i am happy with that because poetry is really the only area where i express myself.
