Riders Through the Smoke

There was coughing all around They could not hear any sound The smoke seemed never ending More and more they were sending They could barely take a breath They weren't afraid to face death They wanted to show the world what their group could really do They sent at first one bus, then two They stood up for what they believed was right They never gave up the Fight They were the Freedom Riders

Great reminder of these heroes, thanks!

I watched the movies on these people and it moved me. It is hard to think that America was once truly racially divided in that severity.
