I was in love with the way
you always knew what you wanted
how you walked like you were the most important person in the room
I was smitten with your tiny body
and how feminine you sounded when you laughed
I loved how bold you were
how you danced everywhere you went
and said the things that i was always thinking
I still laugh about your broken french
and how you never understood my passion for romantic movies

you were never mine
but I loved that every time you and I were together,
I could so easily pretend that you were

it was so right.
