Right?

My words come out soothing
My intentions destructive
Directed at someone I care for

I can't control
The words that spill
Causing the damage
That I desire

Ruined relationship
One after another
Guilt and remorse
Never make an appearance

I don't mean to do it
It's instinctual
I'm protecting myself
Right?
