Right Direction

Lord Jesus, what have i become?

What am i doing here?

i thougt this would never happen to me,

and yet, it has this year...

temptation, Lord, and worldly pleasures

have taken hostige, and arrested me...

they have thrown me into their mocking dungeon

and made me feel more than guilty.

they laugh at me, and pick on me;

pushing me down to the floor.

i try to get back to the light

but they push me down once more.

for a while they seem to satisfy,

but it does not last for long;

they know just how to lure me in:

by music and in song.

they tell me i'm not good enough,

so to be like them i try.

instead of lifting up my hands

and praising your name high...

Father, will you let me take your hand?

will you lead me out of this mess?

will you help me find the way, once more

to your eternal happiness

i've been such a fool

to be so easily led astray...

i dont deserve your love and grace

to help me find the way.

Lord Jesus, will you please

teach me your corrections...

please Father, help me to pursue

the right direction.
