The Right One
I have given pieces of myself to people who didn’t deserve them.
And just like everyone else, I learned from it.
But what happens when you give pieces of yourself to the right person.
The one who chose to stay even after realizing how sensitive you get.
How fragile you are.
How big your heart is.
What if they stay.
What happens then?
What if they stayed, and kept the pieces,
Nurtured you, and made you whole,
And then realized
You’re no longer what they wanted?
What happens then?
When the right person became the wrong one?
When your clothes don't cover up your open wounds.
That when you look in the mirror
There are traces of them inside,
Like they planted a seed,
But then the root had died.
What happens then?
When in between your legs was where it all had started.
When every kiss is sugar coated
In I love yous.
And you're beautiful.
And eye contact can’t be bearable
Because that's when he had first saw you undressed.
In eyes that say more than what you want to show.
