Nevertheless skin tones don't set back Its fear and doubt of an establishment That has everyone 100 miles and running. The first in line with Hope's Seal Not 3/5 but the whole deal From Dream to Promise Assassination or infiltration This is still a Hopeful Nation With fist Raised can't erase The Story, Our Story Of The Audacity to Hope. Can't Blame the Victims Of Oppression's Classification And Brutal Political Justification Of Economic Stagnation With Abolishing Affirmative's Actions clause by clause. Hope with Us Pray with Us Hope for Us Pray for Us As playing fields Become morally leveled. Equally we Hope for Justice Killing our children's Children Mother's Crying, Scrying for black boy's images Of hopelessness to be undone Like Toni Morrison, "Song Of Solomon" No more 'Milk Man' Time for Boys 2B Men Never to Elope from Hope Filled Destinations For our Nation's Nation Nations within Nations Hope was given to The Right Wronged Hands Victimized By Darkness' Colors Hope Prevailed Covered our Colored Sin. Separated, Murdered, Kidnapped, Tortured us in Public With Intimidation tactics at Underground Klu Klux Klan Rallies Even Trumpters Want to sabotage our Great Hope. Unmovable we all are With the Light of Sun Spanning our Hopes Rising from the Ashes Like Phoenix looking back At How far we've come. With Hope we overcome Pitfalls and setbacks. I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and been writing poetry since the age of 16.Poetry turned the painof my life into a zeal for words to express the pain in my life. I graduated from Benjamin Elijah Mays High School in heart of Atlanta. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University December of 2001. I've always felt a that a life of service to others is paramount, which led to my career as a Social Services Case Manager with Ga Department of Human Resources in child protection.
