A Ring of Fear

Heart beating, hand shaking

Sweaty palm

Contacts plastic phone

8-0-0-0.

Fearful tones echo

Down the hallway

Like a shout

In an endless cave

Final deep breath

Gulp of desperation

"Good morning, please stand for morning prayer."
