The Ripple Effect
The Ripple Effect
Sometimes I cannot help but wonder
What really goes out yonder?
If all our lives is not a blunder
To pass never remembered like thunder
Into it we come wailing
Like a crazy angry "Baleing"
On crooked arm we go sailing
With our shadows like destiny tailing
We stand confused at the crossroads
Right and left the road unfolds
Decisions you cannot put on hold
You take left and it says sold.
At first you seem sure and bold
Until the unknown leaves you cold
And though young you look old
All that glitters is not gold
Now you face life’s gallows
Even your spit you cannot swallow
Your body is left, like the land it fallows
Naught remains except maybe your shadows
We stand confused at the crossroads
Right and left the road unfolds
Decisions you cannot put on hold
You take left and it says sold.
