Rippling Pond

I am the image in a rippling pond.

I reflect the humor
       Of my father
The nerdiness
       Of my friends
The love
       Of my partner
The stubbornness
       Of my family
The music
       Of my uncle
The chill
       Of my town
The emotional distress
       Of my time
The poor body image
       Of society
I reflect the outcome
       Of my upbringing
And for that
       I am loved.
