Riptide

The ocean that was our love transformed from the foamy green waves that supported life into the treacherous icy sea that smothered our fire. it was the wind that did it pushing and pulling us around with it until i was caught up in the riptide swallowing water and trying to fight through the exhaustion of struggling for you. and as the water dragged me deeper i saw you standing on the shore slowly turning your back to me until the water obscured you from my sight forever.
