Rise
Child
Why do you cry?
Why do you sit there and wish to die?
I'm telling you child. It's ok
It's ok to make mistakes, live your life and say,
I had a bad day.
Child
Come here.
Come here and feel the understanding
that will dry off your tear.
I know how hard it was- how hard it is
how hard it will be. I know that you will want to run
Run so fast that your legs will swell,
your hear will beat with dread of defeat.
So Child
I'll tell you this
they will beat you,
wreck you,
humiliate you.
They will try to end the hope that so anoyingly lingers.
They will rip down your throught and tear
away the soul with their fingers.
But don't.
Child
Don't let them take what is yours.
Do let the world tell you you're nothing,
worthless,
unloving.
And Child
Don't let it be you
who does it to yourself.
Who sits there and cries.
Child
Remember to
Rise
