Rise Above

Today another tragedy in the news,

Senseless violence from people with nothing to lose.

Never once thinking about the destruction and pain,

Instead only focused on placing the blame.

It`s time for the nation to rise above,

Learn from the past and spread laughter and love.

Believe in the good and fight for each other,

Make this place safe for our sisters and brothers.
