Rise Above

To call it unexpected is an overstatement

I was so full of hope, with the sparkling twinkle in my eyes representing optimism

Then, everything changed and the world turned black and white

A shock was sent up and down my spine like a snake, and my entire persona changed

My security was shoken like a robber busting into your home

You robbed me

Though, I rose above

I took all the pain and turned it into an unwavering sense of action and purpose

I will now fight so that what you did will never happen again

It keeps happening, but I will fight until it does not.

I am inspired to b the brave one who stands up.

I will rise above the trauma.

And you will lay stuck in the same place.
