I want to see the stars

see past the fog

place my head above the clouds,

 

bathe in the light

I want to forget the dark

wrap myself in rich shades of blue,

 

feel the heart beats between breaths

hear the thoughts that tap tap and tatter

their way through my mind at night,

 

I want to hope, and know

That it gets better

And that I do matter.
