Rise and Fall

As they growl,
The winds begin to blow
The flames whip round,

They stand, as it were
With a proud glow,
And triumphant howl,

Their sounds are drowned,
The smoke begins to stir
And make the air smell fowl,

With a whip and crack
They all fall back
To rise again no more.
