RISING

I watch the tears falling,

from the skies

because i know we thought

we would get better

but it didn't.

Together through the storm

and sorrows

we believed

that life could give us a chance

Was it worth it?

society said no

it ruined me

i cry

and listen to my faith

I let myself down

“i give up”

thats the thing about it,

my pain

it demands to be felt

I guess i'm tired of having these

...feelings

it hurts

i'm screaming inside for no one to hear

“you are beautiful”

i heard up above

i'm rising

and i realized

we all accept the words

we think we deserve.
