Rising of Prey

Banished from my homeland, plunged into darkness,
I did realize that I was prey.
Prey being pursued by a predator neither animal nor human.
I did fight that predator,
And by its power I was struck down and consumed.
I did stay there for a while,
And in its grasp and fabled dark pain,
I did find new light.
By my garden which had taught me to fear no evil,
I did face that demon again under its oppressive finger.
Then as my heart did beat again for my purpose,
I did vanquish my demon back within the abyss that it crawled from.
Nevermore to suffer from that black knight again.

I write to cope with the pains of everyday life, so that I may help anyone that I can.
