The Rising Star

Like a new born star I was dim and cold,

lost in a galaxy where all other stars had glowed,

I was shy and small with no ambitions or goals,

and I depended on my mother for everything... truth be told.

A few years went by and I started to feel my glow,

all the shyness had disappeared and my ambitions began to show,

no longer lost in a galaxy the stars began to align,

everything that I once dreamed of is now becoming mine,

Now more mature, I have gained responsibility,

Formerly worried about the stars around me, I overcame my humility,

Unlike when I was young, my priorities now are different,

Previously superficial, but now I'm all about my business.
