The Rite of Writing

To write a poem is to find oneself. The end, unsure, is to be found inside— A foundation of self and being made. To reach a conclusion is cause for pride. A rite of writing, such is why I wade through consciousness awake and too beneath. Adventure, plenty to be had in verse, and through it there is knowledge to bequeath. That one can sum up life and make it terse sure shows experience can’t be for worse.
