The River


The notes keep flowing from page to page without any rests for me to catch my breath. Nightfall comes, the music slows, allowing me to steal air between the sheets. As daybreak hits the melody picks up causing my notes to rush, getting slightly ahead of tempo. Ever changing rhythms keep them from penetrating the deep silence within me.
