River

As the river flows it picks up small leaves

It rages on never stopping to view

The beauty that surrounds its muddy banks

It must keep carrying on its current

It rages on never stopping to view

The graceful effect that silence enjoys

It must keep carrying on its current

For fear that if it ceases to exist

The graceful effect that silence enjoys

Can never grasp the intense fierce progress

For fear that if it ceases to exist

There will no longer be the sweet ballad

That the river sings on its great descent

To meet its second recurrent event
