River

Fri, 03/25/2016 - 20:38 -- Amarix

Like Fibonacci lost

at the turning of the tide

Nothing but spots and suds

scrubbing at sandy shores

Grinding into little pieces the

Grains you thought wouldn't

get any smaller

they've already been beaten enough.

Remember who you are.

Something, anything has to show

glassy waters can't hide all

And eventually mind's eye

breaks through

blue grey stormy windows

depths that somehow aren't as deep

like lavender lost its luster, flat and why

Why are you trying now

When no one else has

and so I've been forced into surrender

to let blankets of rain wash me away

as if I could make a river long enough

to skate away my troubles.

fly and be free bird

lost in the meaning of leaving scenes

By this time

Just let it rain

And fall
