The River

Water over crashing rocks,

my troubling thoughts won't soon be forgot.

Thoughts in my head buzz like bees,

for a moments rest is all I plea.

For time to stop and trouble to fade,

there's nothing that I wouldn't trade.

The water is cool- it calms nerves,

I finally get what I deserve.

As my troubling world fades to black,

my last breath is spent on a laugh.
