River

The beat of my heart lies in my words

The anguish of my desire in my lines

The joy's of my love fall upwards

Into my heaven, my blissful shrine

My feelings pour out of me

Like a rushing river, onto paper

The ink is red, the blood of the internal army

Which fights on inside me, preventing the depressing stupor

Which I would fall in without these words, these lines, this paper, these guidelines

These are the guidelines to my life, what I write

Only realized when I see them, dripping red

Only then do I feel what I really feel, only by paying homage to this Rite

This Rite of passing, rushing like a river, through my fingers, on ahead

Ahead of all thinking, ahead of all anything, only the rush

The rush of a river
