River of Blood
Mum and dad always fight,
I lock myself in the bathroom,
Gazing at the razor in the corner.
The devil urges me,
Begging me to do it.
No one is there to stop me,
To help me,
To save me.
I grab the little object in my shaking hands,
The one thing,
That can cause so much pain,
And at the same time
So much relief.
It’s to late.
I hug myself,
Shaking in the corner,
As the tears drip down my face.
Sitting in a pool of blood,
I still hear the screams,
The taunts,
The laughs.
All pointed at me.
I scream at the voices,
begging them to stop.
I strike again,
Rivers flow down my arms,
Hypnotizing me,
Showing me the relief of the pain.
The screams stop,
The door bangs shut,
They are gone,
And so am I.
